CONGRATULATIONS MIA !!!
Against all adversity my beautiful courageous daughter has achieved her BA Hons. Throughout her journey she made history at Edinburgh Napier University, broke through the limitations of an institution and made way for others to do the same. She experienced the truth about education and institutions and what is missing in the present-day education system – the art of living. Not only coming from a single-parent family for her young years, she is an exceptional representation for her generation.
A recent report on family structure and single-parents highlighted: “On average children with married parents have higher grade point averages and test higher than those in other family structures, the lowest being among children with divorced parents.” Going on to say toward the end: “Clearly children raised in two-parent families tend to exhibit behaviour that better prepares them to be positive contributors to society, and this is borne out by comparisons of adults based on family structure.”
Funnily enough, I was brought up in a two-parent family, left school at 15 with no qualifications and certainly wasn’t better prepared to be a positive contributor to society. My questions are, where do they get their stats and can you interview me for the next report?
